Brighton seafront beaches
Brighton · Brighton & Hove City Council
Dogs are banned from the city's beaches from May to September except on stretches marked with a 'dog friendly' sign. In Brighton these are the beach from the west wall of Brighton Marina to the Volk's Railway station opposite New Steine, and the beach in front of and east of the Meeting Place Café up to the large groyne with the life ring. This comes from the order text in the council's 2023 committee papers; the order runs to October 2026 and the council has consulted on renewing it, so check the signs.
