Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information Lead & Hearth (leadandhearth.co.uk) collects, why, and what you can do about it. If you have any questions, email hello@leadandhearth.co.uk.

Newsletter

If you sign up to our newsletter, we store your email address, the date you signed up and which page you signed up on. We use it only to send you our newsletter about dog-friendly walks, pubs and places to stay, at most once a week. Our legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any email or by emailing us, and we will delete your address.

Venue enquiries

If you contact us through the “List your venue” form, we store the details you give us so we can reply and, if you wish, list or update your venue. We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to deal with your request and any listing that follows.

Where your information is kept

The site is hosted by Vercel, and form submissions are stored in a database provided through Vercel. When we start sending the newsletter we will use an email service, and we will update this policy to name it. We never sell your information or share it with the venues we list.

Links to other sites

We link to venues, booking sites and maps. Some links are affiliate links (see our affiliate disclosure). Once you leave our site, the other site's own privacy policy applies.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or object to how we use it. Email us and we will respond within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
